The NV 10 Years Old Tawny Porto is a typical Douro blend bottled on September 28, 2018, with a bar-top cork (the other age-indicated tawnies this issue came with glass stoppers) and 101 grams of residual sugar. A straightforward 10, this shows average concentration and a bit of power on the finish. A bit dull, relatively speaking, this is not the most expressive or vibrant tawny. It is dryish but not austere in demeanor. There were 65,000 bottles produced from juice ranging in age from seven to 15 years old.

This wine is sweet, rich and soft. While it misses out on acidity, it has rounded, fresh fruitiness and a light shot of spirit. For those who like a sweeter aged tawny, this is just right, open and generous.
